Posey activated from injured list
Memphis, TN (Sports Network) – The Memphis Grizzlies activated guard James
Posey from the injured list prior to Friday’s game against the Denver
In 22 minutes off the bench, Posey scored five points on 1-of-6 shooting and
missed a game-tying three-pointer with less then five seconds remaining in
overtime as the Grizzlies lost, 97-94, to Denver.
Posey, who was originally placed on the injured list on January 29 with a
right Achilles strain, has been on the IL for 10 games total this season. He
has averaged 8.7 points and 4.8 rebounds in 30 games this season.
In a related move, Memphis placed guard Dahntay Jones on the injured list with
left knee tendinitis.
As for Jones, he was averaging 4.6 points and 1.5 rebounds in a little more
than 13 minutes this season.
