(Sports Network) – The New Orleans Hornets visit the Dallas Mavericks on
Monday at American Airlines Center.

It will be the third meeting of the season between the clubs. In the two
previous contests, Dallas picked up a pair of victories at New Orleans Arena.
The teams will meet again on March 21st at American Airlines Center.

The Mavericks have dominated the series, as they have won 11 straight
contests. The last time the Hornets defeated the Mavericks was on November 17,
1999.

The Hornets have lost five straight and six of their last seven at Dallas. The
Hornets are 5-11 as the visitor against the Mavericks.

New Orleans is on a three-game losing streak. On Sunday, Carmelo Anthony
scored a game-high 31 points, including 17 in the final quarter, as the Denver
Nuggets rallied from 11 points down to record their third consecutive victory
with a 94-93 decision over the struggling Hornets at New Orleans Arena.

Dan Dickau led the Hornets in Sunday’s loss with 22 points, while Casey
Jacobsen came off the bench and contributed 15 points. Chris Andersen added 12
and 10 rebounds and Bostjan Nachbar netted 11 points in defeat.

The Hornets are a brutal 3-26 on the road this season. New Orleans returns
home after Monday’s game for five straight contests, as it will host the
Charlotte Bobcats, Utah Jazz, Toronto Raptors, New Jersey Nets and Milwaukee
Bucks.

Dickau has scored in double-digits in 19 straight games and has netted more
than 20 points in four of those contests. The Gonzaga product has recorded
three double-doubles this season. He is averaging 16.6 points and 4.8 assists
in his last 10 games.
