Rose, Bibby take home NBA weekly honors

New York, NY (Sports Network) – Toronto Raptors guard Jalen Rose and
Sacramento Kings guard Mike Bibby have been selected NBA Eastern and Western
Conference Players of the Week, respectively, for games between February
22-27.

Rose led the Raptors to three straight wins and averaged 24.0 points, 4.7
rebounds and 2.3 assists while shooting better than 55 percent from the field.
The 11th-year veteran had a team-best 30 points along with eight rebounds in a
100-82 victory at New Jersey on February 22 and delivered 26 points, five
rebounds and three assists in Sunday’s 108-102 triumph over the Los Angeles
Lakers.

Bibby helped the Kings to three wins in four games and averaged 26.5 points,
7.5 assists, 5.3 rebounds and 3.0 steals. The 26-year-old capped the week with
a 38-point, six-rebound, seven-assist, four-steal performance in Sunday’s
110-108 decision at Washington. Bibby added 26 points and eight assists in a
February 24 loss at Dallas and compiled 23 points, seven assists and six
rebounds during a 114-104 victory over Atlanta on February 22.

Others considered for this week’s awards were Boston’s Antoine Walker, Dallas’
Dirk Notwitzki, Detroit’s Tayshaun Prince, Golden State’s Jason Richardson,
Miami’s Dwyane Wade, New Jersey’s Vince Carter and Phoenix’s Joe Johnson.
