Charlotte Bobcats Team Report – March 4

=== Charlotte Bobcats Team Report – March 4 ===

(Sports Network) – The Bobcats will have a tough challenge tonight, when they
take on the Boston Celtics at the newly-named TD Banknorth Garden.

TD Banknorth and the arena’s owner, Delaware North Cos., have come to an
agreement to change the name from the FleetCenter to TD Banknorth Garden.
Prior to being named the FleetCenter, the arena was named the Boston Garden.

Charlotte has lost 22 of 26 and 28 of its last 33 games overall, including a
94-85 defeat to New Orleans on Wednesday. Rookie Emeka Okafor paced the
Bobcats with 18 points and eight rebounds.

Brevin Knight netted 16 points and Gerald Wallace had 13 for Charlotte, which
has lost four of its last five games. Jason Hart rounded out the double-digit
scorers with 10 points.

The Bobcats shot just 39.8 percent from the field, including 2-of-7 (.286)
from three-point range. Charlotte hit 17-of-23 (.739) from the free throw
line.

Charlotte guard Kareem Rush suffered a sprained left knee in the losing
effort. Rush is expected to miss 4-to-6 weeks because of the injury.

The Bobcats have posted just a 2-25 mark on the road this season. In fact,
Charlotte has lost six straight and 15 of its last 16 road contests.

Boston has won both of the meetings between these teams this season. The
Celtics have won the pair of contests over Charlotte by an average of 11
points.

Charlotte will finish up its week’s slate against the Washington Wizards at
home on Saturday.
