=== Memphis Grizzlies Team Report – March 4 ===

(Sports Network) – The Memphis Grizzlies seek their third consecutive win on
Friday when they welcome the Toronto Raptors to FedExForum. Memphis went 2-0
against Toronto last season and has won three straight meetings overall. The
Raptors will host the Grizzlies on April 6th in the final meeting of the
season between the clubs.

Since a four-game losing skid, the Grizzlies have defeated San Antonio and
Golden State, including Tuesday’s 99-97 contest over the Warriors. Shane
Battier scored 25 points and grabbed 10 rebounds to lead the effort as
the Grizzlies hosted their first-ever weekday afternoon game as part of the
NBA’s Read to Achieve program.

Brian Cardinal netted 20 points and Mike Miller contributed 19 points and nine
rebounds in Tuesday’s victory for Memphis, which has won five of its last nine
games overall.

Memphis currently sits seventh in the Western Conference race, but is only 1/2
game behind the Houston Rockets for the sixth spot.

The Grizzlies will open a four-game road trip Monday in Los Angeles against
the Clippers. Memphis will also visit the Sacramento Kings, Utah Jazz and
Portland Trail Blazers on the swing.

Battier has scored in double-digits in three of his last four games. He is
averaging 15.3 points and 8.3 rebounds in that span. The Duke product has
recorded three double-doubles this season.

Miller has finished in double-digits in scoring in five straight games. The
Florida product is averaging 14 points and 5.8 boards in those contests. He is
second on the team in scoring at 12.4 points per game.
