(Sports Network) – The New Orleans Hornets visit the San Antonio Spurs on
Monday at the SBC Center. It will be the fourth and final meeting of the
season between the two clubs. The Spurs won the three previous contests, as
they picked up a pair of wins at New Orleans Arena and defeated the Hornets,
93-83, in front of their home crowd on January 29th.

Overall, the Spurs have won six of seven and eight of the last 10 contests in
this series. The Hornets have lost two of three and four of their last six at
San Antonio.

New Orleans attempts to win consecutive games for just the fifth time this
season. Dan Dickau had 17 points and led seven Hornets in double figures, as
New Orleans held on for a 111-107 victory over the Milwaukee Bucks on Saturday
in front of its home crowd.

J.R. Smith added 17 points, Lee Nailon and P.J. Brown each had 16, while Casey
Jacobsen chipped in with a dozen and Jackson Vroman added 10 in the win over
Milwaukee. The Hornets committed just seven turnovers and recorded 30 assists.

The Hornets are 2-6 in Monday games this season.

New Orleans is a dismal 3-27 as the visitor this season. The Hornets come into
tonight’s game off a five-game homestand where they compiled a 3-2 record.

Smith is averaging 20 points and five rebounds in his last two contests. He
has scored in double-digits in five of six and 12 of his last 14 contests.

The Hornets will host the Memphis Grizzlies on Wednesday. New Orleans is 0-2
against the Grizzlies this season and will play them one final time in the
2004-05 campaign on March 26th at FedExForum.

After Wednesday’s game, the Hornets will visit the Chicago Bulls on Friday and
will return home to host the Boston Celtics on Saturday. New Orleans is 0-1
against both the Bulls and Celtics this season.
