(Sports Network) – The Memphis Grizzlies attempt to avoid a a home-and-
home sweep to the Memphis Grizzlies on Monday when the teams meet at
FedExForum.

On Saturday, Shareef Abdur-Rahim had 25 points on 9-of-19 shooting and grabbed
10 rebounds, as the Blazers trounced the Grizzlies, 80-66 at the Rose Garden.
The game marked the first win for interim coach Kevin Pritchard, who took over
when Maurice Cheeks was fired on March 2. Pritchard had lost his first four
games on the bench, and the Blazers had dropped six straight overall.

Lorenzen Wright had 21 points in the loss to Portland to pace Memphis. Shane
Battier and Brian Cardinal each had 11 points Saturday for the Grizzlies, who
registered a season-low in points.

Memphis shot just 37 percent from the field, lowlighted by a 3-for-11 effort
by Mike Miller. The Grizzlies also turned the ball over 17 times. The
Grizzlies currently sit seventh in the Western Conference standings — two
games behind sixth-place Houston.

Portland’s win on Saturday ended a three-game series losing streak against
Memphis. The Blazers have lost three of their last four road games against the
Grizzlies

Memphis, which has lost two of its last three games overall but has won two
straight at home, will visit the New Orleans Hornets on Wednesday. The
Grizzlies are 2-0 against the Hornets this season and will host New Orleans on
March 26th in the final contest of the 2004-05 campaign between the squads.

The Grizzlies will return home on Friday for a brief two-game homestand.
Memphis will host the Minnesota Timberwolves on Friday and the Phoenix Suns on
Sunday.

Wright has scored in double-digits in five straight games and has recorded two
double-doubles in those contests. He is averaging 17 points and 9.2 rebounds
in that span.
