Hornets’ Magloire returns to hive

New Orleans, LA (Sports Network) – New Orleans Hornets center Jamaal Magloire
and forward David West were activated from the injured list Wednesday.

Magloire had missed the last 51 games with a broken right ring finger. He
suffered the injury in a loss to the Phoenix Suns on November 26, and is
averaging 14.1 points and 9.1 rebounds in just 11 games this season.

A 2004 All-Star, Magloire was selected by the Hornets with the 19th overall
pick in the 2000 NBA Draft.

West was shelved the previous 47 contests because of an injured right knee. He
sustained the problem in a loss to the Detroit Pistons on December 4, and is
averaging 6.6 points and 4.9 boards in 14 games this season.

Chris Andersen, meanwhile, is hampered with an infected wound on his right
elbow. He will miss at least the next five games and is averaging 7.5 points
and 6.0 rebounds in 60 contests this season.
