(Sports Network) – The Phoenix Suns host the Golden State Warriors on
Friday at America West Arena in a battle of Pacific Division rivals.

This is the third meeting of the season between the clubs. In the two previous
contests, Phoenix defeated the Warriors on December 7th at home and on
February 13th at The Arena in Oakland. Golden State will host the Suns on
April 8th in the final meeting of the 2004-05 campaign between the squads.

The Suns have won two straight and three of the last four meetings in this
series. Golden State has lost two straight and six of its last seven at

Phoenix enters Friday’s game well rested as it had four full days off since
its last game. On Sunday, Steve Nash finished with 25 points, 11 assists and
six rebounds and Joe Johnson collected 23 points and 11 boards, as the Suns
downed the Denver Nuggets, 106-101, at America West Arena.

Shawn Marion posted 19 points and 15 rebounds in Sunday’s victory for the
Suns, who bounced back from last Friday’s 20-point home loss to the Houston
Rockets to win for the fifth time in six games. Amare Stoudemire recorded 13
points and nine boards, while Quentin Richardson chipped in 11 points in the

Phoenix, which has scored under 100 points only nine times this season, has
scored at least 100 points in 22 of its last 23 games

The Suns are 23-8 at home this season. Phoenix is 6-4 in its last 10 at
America West Arena.

Nash has recorded four straight double-doubles and is averaging 14.5 points
and 11.5 assists in that span. The Santa Clara product has played 34 or more
minutes in those contests. Nash has registered 37 double-doubles and has
handed out 10 or more assists 43 times this season.

Phoenix starts a five-game road trip on Sunday against the Memphis Grizzlies
at FedExForum. It will be the fourth and final meeting of the season between
the clubs. In the three previous contests, the teams split a pair of games at
America West Arena, while the Grizzlies beat the Suns, 108-97, on February 1st
at FedExForum.

The Suns will also visit the Atlanta Hawks, Charlotte Bobcats, Miami Heat and
the Orlando Magic on the upcoming road swing.
