Nene activated from the injured list

Denver, CO (Sports Network) – The Denver Nuggets activated forward Nene
from the injured list prior to Sunday’s game and he scored six points in the
team’s 114-103 win over Milwaukee.

The 22-year old former first round pick, who had missed the previous 13
games with a sprained left knee, was injured in a loss to the New Jersey
Nets back on February 13 when he landed awkwardly on Vince Carter’s foot.

Nene is averaging 9.6 points and 5.9 rebounds this season for the Nuggets.
For his career, the Brazilian native has posted 10.8 points and 6.3 rebounds
in three NBA campaigns, all with Denver.

To make room for Nene on the active roster, the team placed forward/center
Mark Pope on the injured list with a strained left hamstring.
