(Sports Network) – The 76ers registered one of their best performances to
date on Wednesday night, posting a 107-84 thumping of the Detroit Pistons at
the Wachovia Center.

Rookie Andre Iguodala recorded the first triple-double of his career to help
the Sixers to the win. Iguodala posted 10 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists
for the Sixers, winners of four of their last six games. The youngster became
the first rookie to post a triple-double since Chicago’s Kirk Hinrich turned
the trick on February 28, 2004.

Allen Iverson scored a game-high 39 points for the Sixers. Iverson, the
league’s scoring leader, also dished out 10 assists and Chris Webber netted 19
points in the win. Iverson was 15-of-26 from the field in the contest. Samuel
Dalembert posted 11 points and seven rebounds for the Sixers.

Philadelphia is No. 8 in the Eastern Conference playoff race, as it holds a
one game lead over the idle Orlando Magic for the final postseason berth.

The Sixers were red hot from the field, hitting 53.9 percent from the field.
Philadelphia drained 58.8 percent (10-of-17) from three-point range and 15-
of-20 (.750) from the free throw line. The Sixers limited their turnovers to
just 12 in the victory, while forcing 19 Detroit miscues.

Philadelphia will return to the court on Friday against the Toronto Raptors at
the Wachovia Center. The Sixers will then embark on a three-game road trip
beginning against the Los Angeles Lakers at the Staples Center on Sunday
