McGrady leaves game against Hornets

New Orleans, LA (Sports Network) – Houston Rockets All-Star Tracy McGrady
was removed from Friday’s game against the New Orleans Hornets after straining
his right hip in the first quarter.

McGrady, who ranks sixth in the league with a 25.5 points per game scoring
average, suffered the injury while guarding the Hornets’ Lee Nailon at the
8:41 mark of the opening period. He had to be assisted into the locker room
and his return is questionable.

The 25-year-old superstar was 0-for-1 from the field and had one assist before

McGrady is also averaging 6.2 rebounds, 5.9 assists, 1.8 steals and a league-
best 41.6 minutes per contest.
