(Sports Network) – The Portland Trail Blazers host the Washington Wizards on
Monday at the Rose Garden. This is the second and final meeting of the season
between the clubs. On January 12th, Washington defeated the Trail Blazers,
104-100, at the MCI Center.

Overall, the road team has won four of the last five meetings, while the
Wizards have won three of the last four contests in this series. Washington
has won two straight and five of its last eight at Portland.

Portland attempts to win consecutive games for the first time since it won
three in a row from February 2-5. On Saturday, Damon Stoudamire poured in 25
points, grabbed seven rebounds and dished out six assists to lead the Blazers
over the New York Knicks, 103-96, at the Rose Garden.

Shareef Abdur-Rahim collected 17 points and Ruben Patterson chipped in 16 off
the bench in the win over New York for the TrailBlazers, who snapped a seven-
game losing skid. Travis Outlaw had 14 points and Joel Przybilla pulled down a
game-high 15 boards in the win.

The Trail Blazers, who play the third of a four-game homestand, are 16-17 as
the host this season. Portland will welcome the Houston Rockets on Wednesday
to the Rose Garden.

Portland, which is 0-3 against the Rockets this season, is scheduled to visit
the Seattle SuperSonics on Friday and will return home to host the red-hot
Denver Nuggets on Saturday. The Blazers are 1-2 against Seattle and 1-1 versus
the Nuggets in the 2004-05 campaign.

Stoudamire is averaging 23 points, 7.7 rebounds and 5.3 assists in his last
three games. He has scored in double-digits in 11 of his last 13 contests.
