=== New Orleans Hornets Team Report – March 28 ===

(Sports Network) – The New Orleans Hornets host the Cleveland Cavaliers
on Monday at New Orleans Arena. Cleveland defeated New Orleans, 100-91, at
Gund Arena on December 26th and has won four consecutive meetings in this
series.

New Orleans hopes to build a winning streak after halting a four-game slide
with Saturday’s 96-85 victory against Memphis at the FedExForum. It was only
the Hornets’ fifth win in 13 games this month. Rookie J.R. Smith racked up a
career-high 33 points to lead the way against the Grizzlies.

Forward P.J. Brown posted 19 points and 14 rebounds to help the Hornets to
only their fifth win in 35 games away from home this season. Jamaal Magloire
added 10 points and pulled down 13 boards in the triumph.

Smith finished 13-of-18 from the field, including 6-of-9 from three-point
range, for New Orleans, which finally won a game against a Southwest Division
foe this season. The Hornets entered Saturday’s game with an 0-14 mark against
divisional opponents and were in danger of becoming the first team in NBA
history to finish a season winless in division play.

The Hornets will have three full days off before they visit the Houston
Rockets on Friday at the Toyota Center. It will be the fourth and final
meeting of the season between the clubs. New Orleans is 0-3 against the
Rockets.

New Orleans returns home on Saturday to host the powerful Miami Heat. It will
be the last time the clubs will play in the 2004-05 campaign. On January
23rd, the Heat crushed the Hornets, 97-68, at AmericanAirlines Arena.

Smith has scored in double-digits in five straight games and has netted 20 or
points in four of those contests. He is averaging 17.3 points and 3.1 assists
in his last 10 contests.
