Mavericks activate Dampier

Dallas, TX (Sports Network) – The Dallas Mavericks activated center Erick
Dampier from the injured list Friday, while placing center Pavel Podkolzin on
the IL.

Dampier has missed the last 21 games with a stress fracture in his right foot.
He is averaging 9.5 points, 8.7 rebounds and 1.29 blocks in 48 games in his
first season with the Mavericks.

The 6-foot-11 Dampier had been hot prior to the injury and was averaging 12.9
points and 11.6 rebounds in the month of February.

The 7-foot-5 Podkolzin, the 21st overall pick in the 2004 NBA Draft, has
played in just five games this season.
