Miller and Davis named NBA Players of the Week
New York, NY (Sports Network) – Indiana guard Reggie Miller and Golden
State guard Baron Davis were named NBA Eastern and Western Conference
Players of the Week, respectively, for games played Monday, March 28 through
Sunday, April 3.
Miller led the Pacers to a 3-0 mark last week, as he averaged 21.7 points, 3.0
rebounds and 2.7 assists per contest. Miller shot 52.4 percent from the field
and 53.3 percent from beyond the arc, highlighting his week with a 31-point
performance, including 21 in the fourth quarter, against Miami on March 31.
Davis posted averages of 22.3 points, 10.3 assists and 5.3 boards per game
last week, helping the Warriors to a 4-0 record. He poured in 33 points and
handed out nine assists in a triumph over New York on March 28 and then
collected 25 points, 15 assists and five rebounds in a win versus Milwaukee
two days later.
