Iverson misses game against Wizards

Washington, DC (Sports Network) – Philadelphia 76ers guard Allen Iverson
missed Saturday’s game against Washington because of an injured right thumb.

The injury occurred in Friday’s 103-98 win over Cleveland at the Wachovia
Center. Iverson dished out a career-high 16 assists in that game.

The 6-0 guard suffered a chip fracture in his left thumb on March 15 in a game
against the LA Lakers, but didn’t miss any time.

The Sixers are 2 1/2 games behind first-place Boston in the Atlantic Division
and sit in the seventh spot in the Eastern Conference playoff standings.
