Kings’ Williamson suspended for Sunday’s game
New York, NY (Sports Network) – Sacramento Kings forward Corliss Williamson
was forced to sit out Sunday’s 124-105 victory over the Los Angeles Lakers
after being suspended by the league for one game for an incident during
Friday’s contest against Portland.
Williamson was whistled for a flagrant foul in the fourth quarter after he
punched the Trail Blazers’ Joel Przybilla in the head. Sacramento went on to
post a 119-115 win over Portland.
The 31-year-old Williamson was acquired by the Kings from Philadelphia as part
of the blockbuster deal that sent Chris Webber to the 76ers. In 20 games for
Sacramento, Williamson is averaging 8.6 points and 3.0 rebounds per outing.
