=== Memphis Grizzlies Team Report – April 11 ===

(Sports Network) – The Memphis Grizzlies try to earn their second straight
playoff berth, as they visit the Dallas Mavericks on Monday at American
Airlines Center.

The Grizzlies, who appeared in the postseason for the first time in franchise
history in 2004 and were eliminated by San Antonio in four games in the first
round, are No. 8 in the West and own a 4 1/2 game lead over the Minnesota
Timberwolves for the final playoff spot. Memphis has six games remaining on
its schedule, while the Timberwolves have five contests left.

Memphis is just one game behind No. 7 Denver, while Dallas is locked into the
fourth seed.

It is the third meeting of the season between the clubs. Dallas defeated the
Grizzlies on November 6th at American Airlines Center and on November 27th at
FedExForum. The teams will play for the final time in the regular season on
April 20th at Memphis.

The Grizzlies have lost eight straight at Dallas. The last time the Grizzlies
defeated the Mavericks away from home was on November 8, 2000.

Memphis has won three straight contests. On Sunday, Shane Battier poured in a
game-high 25 points and grabbed 11 rebounds to lead the Grizzlies past the
Charlotte Bobcats, 102-95, at FedExForum.

Mike Miller netted 21 points, while Pau Gasol and Lorenzen Wright each had 16
points in Sunday’s victory for Memphis, which has won six of its last 10 games
overall. Wright finished with 10 rebounds in the victory.

The Grizzlies, who are 8-2 in Monday games this season, are 19-18 on the road.
They start a four-game road trip tonight that also consists of games against
Houston, Denver and San Antonio.
