Charlotte Bobcats Team Report – April 11

=== Charlotte Bobcats Team Report – April 11 ===

(Sports Network) – The two worst teams in the NBA go head-to-head tonight in
Atlanta, as the Hawks take on the expansion Charlotte Bobcats at Philips

Atlanta owns the league’s worst record (12-64), while Charlotte is just three
games behind (15-61) it. At this point, it would do neither of these teams
much good to win games, as they would simply be moving closer to losing NBA
Draft lottery balls.

Charlotte is mired in an eight-game losing streak, including a 102-95 defeat
to the Memphis Grizzlies at FedExForum on Sunday. Brevin Knight led the way
for the Bobcats with 22 points and 10 assists in the losing effort.

Emeka Okafor tallied 19 points and was a lion on the boards, pulling down a
game-high 18 rebounds. Primoz Brezec added 13 points and nine rebounds, Keith
Bogans posted 12 points and Matt Carroll chipped in 11.

The Bobcats shot 42.4 percent from the field, including 3-of-8 (.375) from
three-point range. Charlotte drained 20-of-29 (.690) from the free throw line,
while outrebounding the Grizzlies, 43-39.

Charlotte, which is closing out a four-game road trip this evening, is 3-34 in
foreign buildings. The Bobcats have lost four straight and 16 of their last 17
road games.

These teams have split a pair of meetings this season with the home team
winning both games. Atlanta posted a 103-95 victory over the Bobcats at
Philips Arena on January 15.

Following tonight’s contest, the Bobcats will close out their home-and-home
against Atlanta at Charlotte Coliseum on Wednesday. Charlotte will then have
consecutive days off before hosting New York (Friday) and travelling to
Washington D.C.(Sunday).
