San Antonio, TX (Sports Network) – Manu Ginobili scored a game-high 30 points
as the San Antonio Spurs clinched the Southwest Division title with a 95-89
victory over Portland at the SBC Center. Ginobili went 10-of-16 from the
field and added seven rebounds for San Antonio, which remains one-game
behind Phoenix — a 99-85 winner over New Orleans Tuesday — for the top seed
in the Western Conference playoffs. It is the fourth division title for the
Spurs in the last five seasons. San Antonio won its third straight overall
and ninth consecutive at the SBC Center, improving to a league-best 37-3 at
home this season.

Philadelphia, PA (Sports Network) – Paul Pierce drained an 18-foot jumper with
just under a minute remaining in the fourth quarter to give Boston the lead
and the Celtics went on to post a 105-98 victory over the Philadelphia 76ers
at the Wachovia Center. Pierce finished with 27 points and 13 rebounds.
Antoine Walker netted 18 points and Ricky Davis chipped in 16 points,
seven rebounds and six assists for Boston, which notched its third win in the
last four games and moved three games ahead of the 76ers for first place in
the Atlantic Division. Allen Iverson paced Philadelphia with 28 points and
11 assists. Kyle Korver had 17 points and nine boards and Marc Jackson
contributed 16 points for the 76ers, who had a season-high four-game winning
streak snapped. Philadelphia remained in the eighth spot in the Eastern
Conference, one game behind idle Cleveland and one game ahead of idle New
Jersey.

New York, NY (Sports Network) – Chris Bosh poured in a game-high 29 points,
Jalen Rose added 25 and Toronto routed New York, 105-93, at Madison Square
Garden. Morris Peterson added 18 points while Rafer Alston chipped in 13
points and nine rebounds for the Raptors, who trailed by as many as 19
late in the first half before rallying to snap a two-game slide. The
Raptors ended 24-of-28 from the free throw line. Stephon Marbury led New
York with 22 points and nine assists. Maurice Taylor came off the pine to net
17 points, while Tim Thomas and Jerome Williams each contributed 11 for
struggling New York, which has dropped 10 of 11.

Phoenix, AZ (Sports Network) – Amare Stoudemire scored a game-high 27 points
as the Phoenix Suns completed a season-series sweep of New Orleans with a
99-85 decision at America West Arena. Stoudemire added 11 rebounds for
Phoenix, which remained one-game ahead of second-seeded San Antonio for the
top spot in the Western Conference playoff picture. The Spurs also won
Tuesday, 95-89, over Portland. Shawn Marion contributed 18 points, 17
boards and six blocked shots and Joe Johnson poured in 16 points to go
along with six rebounds for the Suns, who improved to 11-3 in their last 14
games.

Los Angeles, CA (Sports Network) – Elton Brand racked up 25 points and 10
rebounds and Marko Jaric added 20 points and seven assists as the Los Angeles
Clippers cruised to a 94-85 victory over Utah at the Staples Center. Rookie
Shaun Livingston recorded his first career double-double with 15 points and
10 assists to help the Clippers snap a two-game losing streak. Los
Angeles, which played minus head coach Mike Dunleavy and leading scorer Corey
Maggette, received 10 points and 10 boards as well from Chris Kaman. Dunleavy
has indefinitely left the team to attend to his ill father, while Maggette
will miss the remaining four games of the season with a torn ligament in his
left wrist.
