Wizards activate Haywood from injured list

Washington, DC (Sports Network) – The Washington Wizards activated center
Brendan Haywood from the injured list prior to Wednesday’s game against the
Chicago Bulls.

Haywood, who suffered a fracture on the tip of his left thumb against the Los
Angeles Clippers on March 25, missed the Wizards’ last 10 contests.

The 25-year-old Haywood was in the midst of a career season, as he is
averaging 9.4 points and 6.8 rebounds in 64 games, the highest numbers of his
four-year career.

In a related move, the Wizards placed center Peter John Ramos on the injured
list with left knee tendinitis.
