Bulls’ Curry expected to miss remainder of the season

Chicago, IL (Sports Network) – The Chicago Bulls have scheduled a Thursday
evening press conference, at which time the club is expected to announce that
center Eddy Curry will miss the remainder of the season.

Curry has sat out the past nine games following the discovery of an irregular
heartbeat. He recently underwent further evaluation by heart specialists in
Boston and Minnesota.

The 22-year-old Curry has played in 63 games this season for the Bulls,
including 60 starts, and is averaging a team-high 16.1 points to go along with
5.4 rebounds per contest.

The fourth-year center has career averages of 11.8 points and 4.9 boards in
289 career games — all with Chicago, which selected Curry out of high school
with the fourth overall pick in the 2001 NBA Draft.
