Kings activate Jackson, place Stojakovic on IL

Sacramento, CA (Sports Network) – The Sacramento Kings activated guard Bobby
Jackson from the injured list Wednesday and placed forward Peja Stojakovic on
the IL with a left adductor strain.

Jackson underwent wrist surgery in January and was expected to miss the
remainder of the season. Two pins were placed in his left wrist bone to
stabilize a major ligament that was injured during a game against Washington
on December 21.

The 32-year-old Jackson has played in 24 games this season and is averaging
11.9 points, 3.3 rebounds and 2.3 assists per outing. He missed a large
portion of the 2003-04 regular season as well as the playoffs due to an
abdominal injury.

Meanwhile, Stojakovic injured his groin during last Friday’s game against the
Lakers and hasn’t played since. He is expected to be on the postseason roster.

The Kings close the regular season Wednesday with a home game against Phoenix
and will then face Seattle in the opening round of the playoffs.
