Detroit Pistons tie Eastern Conference finals
Auburn Hills, MI (Sports Network) – Richard Hamilton scored 28 points with eight assists, and the Detroit Pistons tied the Eastern Conference finals at two games apiece with a 106-96 victory over Miami on Tuesday night. Rasheed Wallace added 20 points for the Pistons, who rebounded from consecutive losses to even the best-of-seven series with Game 5 scheduled for Thursday in Miami.
The Pistons never trailed after taking a 16-14 lead late in the first quarter. They committed just six turnovers in the game — all in the second half.
Dwyane Wade scored 18 of his 28 points in the second half to lead the Heat. Shaquille O’Neal, still playing through his thigh bruise, added 12 points in just 25 minutes while battling foul trouble.
Miami lost for the first time in six road games this postseason.
