Pistons and Spurs tied at the half

Auburn Hills, MI (Sports Network) – The Spurs let go of a nine-point lead in
the second quarter, and the Pistons rallied for a 42-42 halftime tie in Game 5
of the NBA Finals.

Reeling from two straight losses, San Antonio shook off a slow first quarter
and went ahead 38-29 before a six-minute field goal drought and 6-0 Detroit
run turned the tables.

Good news for the Spurs: Tim Duncan, Manu Ginobili and Tony Parker have 33 of
the team’s 42 points — this after the trio combined to score just 40 points
in a Game 4 loss Thursday.

Chauncey Billups and Ben Wallace scored 11 points apiece in the first half to
lead Detroit.
