Toronto, ON (Sports Network) – The Toronto Raptors signed first-round draft
picks forwards Charlie Villanueva and Joey Graham on Thursday.
Villanueva was selected seventh overall by the Raptors in June’s draft, while
Graham was taken with the 16th pick. Per team policy, financial terms of the
deals were not disclosed.
“We are pleased to have both players signed and eager to play on our summer
league teams,” said Toronto general manager Rob Babcock. “We look forward to
their contributions on the court and in the community.”
Villanueva was an early entry candidate, having spent two seasons at
Connecticut. He was second-team All-Big East last season after averaging 13.6
points and 8.3 rebounds. In NCAA Tournament play, Villanueva averaged 19.0
points and 9.5 rebounds in two contests.
Graham split his four-year collegiate career between Oklahoma State and
Central Florida. He averaged 15.0 points and 6.0 rebounds in two seasons at
OSU and 10.8 points and 4.7 rebounds in his first two campaigns at Central

Summer Pro League in Long Beach, California from July 8-11.
