Nets sign top pick Wright

East Rutherford, NJ (Sports Network) – The New Jersey Nets announced Friday
that the club has agreed to terms with swingman Antoine Wright, the team’s
first round selection in this year’s draft.

Wright was grabbed by the Nets with the 15th overall selection after a stellar
junior season at Texas A&M. The 6’7″ sharpshooter earned first team All Big 12
honors after averaging 17.8 points, 6.0 rebounds and compiling a conference-
best 44.7 percent three-point field goal percentage.

“We are very pleased to add Antoine to our roster,” said Nets president Rod
Thorn. “His style of play is consistent with Nets basketball, and we look
forward to his development.”

Wright is the highest-drafted player in Texas A&M’s basketball history.
