New Orleans, LA (Sports Network) – The New Orleans Hornets have re-signed
free-agent forward/center Chris Andersen to an undisclosed contract.

Andersen averaged a career-high 7.7 points and 6.1 rebounds in his first
season with the Hornets in 2004-05, also leading the club with 1.49 blocks in
67 games. He was the team’s leading scorer off the bench.

“One of our top priorities of the summer was to re-sign Chris due to the
development of his overall game last season,” said Hornets general manager
Allan Bristow. “We’re excited to see him continue that progress while still
giving us hustle, defense and rebounding that got him to where he is today.”
