Kittles, Brunson released by Clippers
Los Angeles, CA (Sports Network) – The Los Angeles Clippers have renounced the
rights to free agent guards Kerry Kittles and Rick Brunson.
The moves come in the wake of Wednesday’s signing of Cuttino Mobley.
Kittles was acquired by the Clippers last July in a trade with New Jersey, but
struggled with injuries during the 2004-05 season. He missed 71 games with a
degenerative disc in his lower back and averaged just 6.3 points and 2.9
rebounds in 11 games.
Brunson appeared in 80 games for the Clippers last season and averaged 5.5
points with 5.1 assists.
