Sixers’ Green set for surgery
Philadelphia, PA (Sports Network) – Philadelphia 76ers guard Willie Green is
scheduled to undergo arthroscopic surgery on his injured left knee.
Dr. James Andrews of the Alabama Sports Medicine and Orthopaedic Center will
perform the surgery, which is slated for Tuesday August 16.
Green, who is a restricted free agent, injured his knee during a summer pick-
up game. In 2004-05, the Detroit Mercy product played in 57 games, averaging
7.7 points and 2.3 boards per contest.
In his two seasons with the Sixers, Green has netted 7.3 points per game,
while handing out 1.4 assists per contest in 110 games, including 21 starts.
