San Antonio won’t match Utah’s offer to Brown
Salt Lake City, UT (Sports Network) – The Utah Jazz announced Friday that
the San Antonio Spurs declined to match the team’s offer sheet to guard Devin
Per team policy, terms of the deal were not released.
The 6-foot-5 Brown, who is currently in San Antonio doing charity work for
refugees of Hurricane Katrina, played in 67 games last year. He averaged a
career-high 7.4 points, 2.6 rebounds and 1.4 assists last season.
Brown, who was undrafted out of college, has played 135 games in the NBA with
the Spurs and Denver Nuggets, averaging 5.6 points, 2.4 rebounds and 1.0
assists per game.
