Clippers sign guard Tabuse
Los Angeles, CA (Sports Network) – The Los Angeles Clippers announced
Thursday that they have signed free agent guard Yuta Tabuse. Per team policy,
terms of the deal were not released.
Tabuse is best known for becoming the first Japanese-born player to ever
appear in an NBA game when he entered a contest on November 3, 2004 as a
member of the Phoenix Suns.
The 5-foot-9, 165-pound guard appeared in only four games with Phoenix in
2004-05 before being cut by the team on December 18. He then joined Long Beach
of the ABA and appeared in 12 games, averaging nine points and 6.3 assists.
