Memphis picks up option on Jones

Memphis, TN (Sports Network) – The Memphis Grizzlies announced Friday that the
club has exercised the fourth-year option on guard Dahntay Jones. As per team
policy, financial terms were not released.

Originally selected by Boston with the 20th overall pick in the 2003 Draft,
Jones was immediately traded to the Grizzlies.

Last season, he averaged 4.5 points and 1.3 boards, while also shooting 44
percent from the field.

Jones spent his final two years at Duke after transferring from Rutgers. He
