McGrady returns to action

East Rutherford, NJ (Sports Network) – Houston All-Star Tracy McGrady returned
to the lineup Saturday night, scoring a game-high 35 points, as the Rockets
defeated the New Jersey Nets, 99-91, at Continental Airlines Arena.

McGrady was out due to back spasms. He played in the Rockets’ season opener, a
win over the Sacramento Kings, but he had missed the last three games, all
which were losses.

McGrady also had 10 rebounds in the game and was 4-of-5 from beyond the three
point line. He shot 13-of-26 from the floor in nearly 38 minutes of action.

McGrady was originally expected to miss up to three weeks of action.

In the season opener, McGrady scored 23 points and pulled down five rebounds.
For his career, he has averaged over 22 points per game.
