Bobcats’ Knight out with sore knee

Charlotte, NC (Sports Network) – Charlotte Bobcats point guard Brevin
Knight was inactive for Wednesday’s game with Indiana with tendinitis in his
left knee.

Knight, who entered Wednesday’s play ranked ninth in the NBA in assists per
game (7.0), was scratched during pregame warmups and was replaced in the
starting lineup by rookie Raymond Felton.

The Bobcats are also without leading scorer Gerald Wallace, who is out
indefinitely with a chipped bone in his right wrist, and forward Melvin Ely,
who missed his third consecutive contest with an injured shin.

Knight is averaging 10 points and 33.3 minutes through Charlotte’s first eight

Felton, the fifth overall pick in the 2005 draft, made his first career start.
