Pietrus sidelined up to four weeks
Oakland, CA (Sports Network) – Golden State Warriors guard/forward Mickael
Pietrus will likely be sidelined up to four weeks after spraining the medial
collateral ligament in his right knee during Monday’s 100-97 victory over the
New Jersey Nets.
Pietrus left with the injury at the 4:35 mark of the second quarter and did
not return. The Warriors forward had a follow-up examination on Tuesday with
team orthopedic specialist Dr. John Belzer and an MRI confirmed the injury.
The 6-foot-6, 215-pound reserve averaged 10.5 points and 2.8 rebounds per game
this season for Golden State (7-5), which visits the defending NBA champion
San Antonio Spurs on Wednesday night.
