Magic closeout homestand against Heat

(Sports Network) – Southeast Division rivals meet tonight when the Miami Heat
visit the Orlando Magic at TD Waterhouse Centre.

The Magic closeout a four-game homestand. On Friday, Jameer Nelson scored a
season-high 24 points on 11-of-16 shooting to lead Orlando over the Portland
Trail Blazers, 104-89, at TD Waterhouse Centre.

Dwight Howard finished with 21 points and 18 rebounds, eight on the offensive
glass, in the win over Portland for the Magic, who have won two straight on
their four-game homestand. DeShawn Stevenson notched 16 points and Hedo
Turkoglu contributed 15 points for Orlando, which shot 53 percent from the
floor against the Trail Blazers.

Orlando is 3-4 at home this season. After tonight’s game, the Magic will
embark on a four-game road trip that will consist of games against Boston,
Chicago, Memphis and Milwaukee.

Miami will play six of their next seven games on the road. On Friday,
Josh Howard had 25 points, 11 rebounds and sparked a key fourth-quarter run as
the Dallas Mavericks continued their winning ways with a 103-90 triumph over
the Heat at AmericanAirlines Arena.

The Heat return home to host New York on Monday and will embark on a five-game
road trip starting with a game at Atlanta on November 30. They will also visit
Sacramento, Denver, the Clippers and San Antonio on the upcoming trip.

Miami is 1-3 on the road this season.

The Heat have won eight straight after losing the last four meetings in this
series. Miami has won four straight after losing its last two at Orlando.

The last time the Magic defeated the Heat was on March 23, 2003 at Miami.
