Iverson gearing up for Bucks

(Sports Network) – The Philadelphia 76ers try and put the brakes on a three-
game losing streak this evening when they open a brief two-game homestand
against the Milwaukee Bucks at the Wachovia Center.

In two games against the Bucks this season – both losses – Allen Iverson has
averaged 40 points, including a season-high 45 back on November 23, while
battling the flu. He has also scored at least 30 points in each of his last
six games against Milwaukee.

Philadelphia’s latest loss came on Saturday, as they closed out a three-game
road trip with a 100-91 setback at the hands of the San Antonio Spurs.

Allen Iverson had 37 points for the Sixers, who dropped their fifth game in
six tries. Chris Webber had 11 points and 13 rebounds, and Samuel Dalembert
tallied eight points and 11 rebounds.

It was just the second time in eight games this season that Iverson, who leads
the NBA with 34.2 points-per-game, has netted at least 30 points and the
Sixers lost.

Iverson has gone for over 30 points the last six games, while Webber has
recorded 10 double-doubles on the year. Eight of Webber’s double-doubles have
come in the last 10 games.

Both Dalembert (quadriceps) and Webber (Achilles’) are questionable for
tonight’s affair.

The Sixers, who will close their stand against Charlotte on Friday, are 6-3 in
their building this season.

Philly has won six of the last 10 meetings. The Bucks have also struggled in
the City of Brotherly Love, where they have dropped five of eight and six of
