Lakers enjoying success on road trip

(Sports Network) – The Los Angeles Lakers, who are 10-10 after 20 contests
this season, have won three of their first four game on their current six-game
road trip.

LA, which plays the fifth contest of the swing on Monday against Dallas at
American Airlines Center, attempts to get back on the winning track versus the
Mavericks, who have won four of the last six meetings in the series. The
Lakers have won three of their last five at Dallas.

Dallas has scored over 100 points in six of the last seven contests against
the Lakers.

On Saturday, All-Star Kevin Garnett scored 30 points and pulled down eight
rebounds, as the Timberwolves knocked off the Lakers, 95-82, at the Target

Superstar Kobe Bryant ended with 35 points, but also committed seven turnovers
in the loss to Minnesota for the Lakers, who had their four-game winning
streak halted. Lamar Odom contributed 16 points and Chris Mihm totaled 15
points and 11 rebounds for Los Angeles, which fell behind early against the
Timberwolves and never recovered.

The Lakers are 6-5 as the visitor this season. They will closeout the trip on
Wednesday against the Memphis Grizzlies at FedExForum.

Memphis and the Lakers will be playing for the second time this season. On
November 14th, Pau Gasol had 20 points, 10 rebounds and four blocks to lead
the Grizzlies over the Lakers, 85-73, at the FedExForum.

Odom has scored in double-digits in four straight and 15 of LA’s 20 games. The
Rhode Island product is averaging 19.5 points, 6.3 rebounds and five assists
in his last four outings.
