Orlando’s Hill ready to return
Orlando, FL (Sports Network) – Orlando Magic forward Grant Hill is closer to
making his 2005-06 season-debut after recovering from sports hernia surgery on
The Magic said Hill is still day-to-day for a return to the active roster, but
he has been practicing and the Orlando Sentinel has reported that the
veteran’s first game will be Wednesday against the New York Knicks.
Orlando is off to an 8-11 start this season.
The 6-foot-8, 225-pound Hill started 67 games for the Magic last season, his
fourth with the team. He averaged 19.7 points, 4.7 rebounds and 3.3 assists
per game and was selected as a starter for the Eastern Conference All-Star
Hill, who spent the first six years of his career in Detroit, had played just
47 games in his first three seasons with Orlando because of injuries.
In his career, Hill has appeared in 549 games, compiling 20.8 points, 7.5
rebounds and 5.7 assists per contest.
