Four NBA teams to tour Europe in 2006

New York, NY (Sports Network) – The NBA announced Tuesday that four NBA teams
will conduct training camps and compete against top European basketball clubs
in five different countries during October 2006.

As part of NBA Europe Live, the Los Angeles Clippers, Philadelphia 76ers,
Phoenix Suns and the 2005 NBA champion San Antonio Spurs will take part in the
event.

“We are pleased to have these renowned franchises represent the NBA in the
most ambitious international competition in league history,” said NBA
commissioner David Stern. “Together with Euroleague Basketball and EA Sports,
we will bring the highest level of competition to fans throughout Europe, as
we further celebrate the game of basketball.”

The NBA teams will each be based in a separate European city during the first
week of October. The 76ers will play in Barcelona, Spain, the Suns will be
competing in Treviso, Italy, the Spurs will train in Lyon, France while the
Clippers will be based in Moscow, Russia.
