Stoudamire could be lost for the season
Portland, OR (Sports Network) – Memphis Grizzlies guard Damon Stoudamire could
be sidelined for the rest of the season after suffering a knee injury during
Friday’s game against Portland.
Initial reports say Stoudamire ruptured a tendon in his right knee and
Grizzlies head coach Mike Fratello indicated that surgery will likely be

Fratello after the game. “They feel that right now he’ll probably have
surgery. It could be the rest of the year, the way it looks.”
Stoudamire was hurt in the second quarter of Friday’s 93-90 win on a drive to
the basket and needed to be carted off the floor. He had four points, six
rebounds and four assists before leaving the contest.
In his first season with Memphis, Stoudamire is averaging 11.7 points and a
team-best 4.7 assists in 27 games. He signed a four-year deal with the
