Injuries catching up with Magic

(Sports Network) – The Orlando Magic are starting to struggle again. A big
reason for that is injuries. Center Kelvin Cato has been in and out of the
lineup for over a month and is now sidelined with a shoulder injury, while key
free agent acquisition Keyon Dooling has not played since late November
because of a foot ailment.

Now, Grant Hill is hurt again. Hill was forced to sit out Wednesday’s game
with soreness in the area of his surgically repaired hernia. It was the 20th
game he has missed this season.

Hill is questionable for tonight’s affair.

Orlando, meanwhile, comes in riding a two-game losing streak after dropping a
121-97 decision to the surging Toronto Raptors on Wednesday at Air Canada
Centre.Jameer Nelson scored a career-high 31 points for the Magic, who have
lost six of their last nine games.

In his last three games Nelson has scored 74 points on 28-of-45 shooting.

DeShawn Stevenson tallied 12 points and Hedo Turkoglu added 11 points in the
loss, as Orlando set an all-time record for fewest rebounds, with 21. Dwight
Howard, the league’s leading rebounder, had seven boards.

Orlando, which plays five of its next six on the road, is 4-8 away from home
this season.

The Nets defeated the Magic earlier in the season, but could be at a
disadvantage tonight, as the home team in this series has lost four straight
and seven of the last 10 matchups. Orlando has also won two straight and seven
of its last 11 in the Garden State.
