Mavs’ Daniels sidelined with neck strain

Denver, CO (Sports Network) – Dallas Mavericks guard Marquis Daniels will
miss Friday’s game at Denver because of a strained neck that has plagued the
third-year player since mid-December.

Daniels, who missed five consective games from December 16-26 because of the
injury, is also not excepted to play Saturday when the Mavericks host the
Timberwolves.

The swingman returned to action on December 30 and played four straight games,
but had a reoccurrence of the problem during Wednesday’s loss at Minnesota.

Daniels, who will turn 25 on Saturday, has appeared in 27 games with 19 starts
this season, and is averaging 12.3 points, 4.3 rebounds and 3.1 assists per
contest.
