McGrady leaves games on stretcher, taken to hospital
Houston, TX (Sports Network) – Houston Rockets forward Tracy McGrady suffered
severe back spasms during Sunday night’s game against Denver and left on a
stretcher before being transported to a local hospital.
McGrady appeared to suffer the injury late in the second quarter when he
grabbed his lower back following a missed jumper.
The All-Star tried to walk off the court, but eventually collapsed on the
floor where he was quickly placed on a stretcher and taken to a local hospital
to undergo precautionary tests.
The 26-year-old McGrady, who has already missed eight games this season due to
back spasms, had 11 points in the opening half.
Entering this game, McGrady was averaging 25.9 points, 7.0 rebounds and 5.1
assists this year.
