Memphis, TN (Sports Network) – Mike Miller notched the fourth triple-double in
Grizzlies’ history with 21 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists, as Memphis
defeated the Sacramento Kings, 99-85, at FedEx Forum.

Pau Gasol led the Grizzlies with 27 points and Hakim Warrick scored a career-
high 16 and grabbed eight rebounds off the bench in the victory.

The night, though, belonged to Miller, who spurred a second quarter flurry
with clutch perimeter shooting, then did a little bit of everything during the
decisive third period.

Bobby Jackson added 15 points for Memphis, which has won six of its last seven
games.

Mike Bibby paced the Kings with 26 points and eight assists while Peja
Stojakovic donated 19 points and Kenny Thomas notched a double-double with 16
points and 10 boards in the loss.

Brad Miller struggled with just five points and four rebounds for Sacramento,
which lost for the third time in four games.

Miller started the third stanza with a three-pointer and Memphis built a 68-58
lead before the Kings eventually cut the deficit to three behind a 7-0 run.
Memphis, though, responded with an 11-3 spurt capped by Warrick’s slam to end
the period.

The Kings closed within six, 81-75, on Stojakovic’s trey with 8:14 to play,
but got no closer. Eddie Jones’ three-pointer with 1:03 remaining gave
Memphis a 99-82 lead, its largest of the night.

The first half was a tale of two quarters, as Sacramento dominated the first
period and Memphis got back into the contest with an efficient second frame.

The Kings methodically gained a 30-18 advantage at the end of the first
quarter.

Memphis then trailed 43-28 on Jason Hart’s jumper with just less than seven
minutes remaining, but stormed back to take a 49-47 lead on the heels of a
21-4 spurt. Gasol scored two baskets during the stretch and Miller’s free
throw gave Memphis the two-point edge with 1:19 left.

The Grizzlies led 52-51 at the half.
