Nets’ McInnis undergoes successful surgery
East Rutherford, NJ (Sports Network) – The New Jersey Nets announced
Thursday that guard Jeff McInnis underwent successful arthroscopic surgery to
remove torn cartilage from his left knee.
Rehabilitation will start right away and he will be sidelined indefinitely as
no return date has been set.
McInnis suffered the injury during New Jersey’s 110-77 loss to Dallas on
The North Carolina product was signed by the Nets during the offseason and has
appeared in 28 games so far this season. He is averaging just 5.3 points, 1.8
rebounds and 1.9 assists per game with only one start.
The 6-foot-4, 179-pound McInnis is averaging 10.3 points and 4.5 assists in
484 career games with Denver, Washington, the Los Angeles Clippers, Portland,
Cleveland and New Jersey.
