NBA fines Bulls VP Paxson
New York, NY (Sports Network) – NBA senior vice president Stu Jackson handed
Chicago Bulls executive vice president of baseball operations John Paxson a
$15,000 fine Thursday for verbally abusing the officials immediately after the
team’s 97-94 home loss to Denver on Monday.
Paxson complained about the disparity of foul shots between the teams. The
Nuggets shot 31-of-41 from the free throw line while Chicago had just 12
attempts from the charity stripe for the game.
The Bulls led the contest 91-86 with 2:12 remaining before Denver closed
things out with an 11-3 run.
