Report: Utah’s Ostertag suspended
Salt Lake City, UT (Sports Network) – Utah Jazz center Greg Ostertag was
suspended indefinitely for conduct detrimental to the team on Thursday.
According to a report in the Salt Lake Tribune, the 7-foot-2, 280-pound pivot
man failed to appear at the Jazz’s morning practice session, a day after an
incident occured following the team’s 113-94 loss to the Seattle SuperSonics.
The team would not reveal details of the incident.
The suspension is expected to last until the volatile center meets with Jazz
vice president of basketball operations Kevin O’Connor, coach Jerry Sloan and
owner Larry Miller.
Ostertag is averaging 3.0 points and 4.3 rebrounds per game in 41 games for
Utah this season.
